How can I place an order with bioWorld, Inc.?

bioWorld's Customer Service Department Representatives are available for phone orders from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm (EST) Monday thru Friday. Fax and bio-world.com online orders can be placed 24 hours a day.

Can I place an order without registering for an account?

Before you place an online order you must register for an account. We understand how valuable your time is so our registration process has been designed specifically to require only a few minutes of your time. Once you have registered with bio-world.com your account information will be saved for future reference.

I already have a bioWorld account; do I need to register online again?

Yes, even though you have an existing account with bioWorld, Inc. you will still need to register at bio-World.com to place online orders. Please contact our Customer Service Department if you have any further questions.

As a registered customer what are my benefits?

As a registered customer at bio-World.com you will save valuable time when placing your order as all of your account information will be saved. You will also be notified of promotional offers and discounts that are not available to non-registered users.

What should I do if I forget my password?

Click on the Forgot Password link on the Account Login page. Your password will be sent to the e-mail address that was given when you registered for your account.

Can I place an order without using my credit card?

Account Terms

When a Purchase Order has been listed for an order accounts are subject to 30 day payment terms after the date of shipment. Late payments are subject to a 1.5% charge of the total purchase per month.

Can I have more than one shipping address?

Unfortunately, when placing orders with bio-World.com you will need to manually edit the current shipping address to make any necessary changes therefore you cannot have more than one shipping address.

Can I have more than one billing address?

Unfortunately, more than one billing address cannot be associated with an account. However, changes can be made to your billing address by editing the current information.

How can I check the status of my order?

To check the status of an order at bio-World.com, click on Order Status on the main menu to the left. If you know your order number, enter it and click on the View Order. If you are unsure of your order number, click on the Order Summary. All orders that have been placed with bioWorld, Inc. will be listed under Order Summary. Click on the order number for order status details.

How do I cancel an order?

How can I determine shipping costs?

Ground shipping/handling charges for orders under 12 lbs (26.4 kg) within the continental USA will be approximately $14.70. Ground shipments weighing over 12 lbs will be quoted a price based on the shipping location. Expedited (priority or standard overnight, 2-day and 3-day) shipping services are available upon request. Orders shipping to Hawaii, Alaska or outside the USA will have slightly higher shipping charges. Standard Overnight Service: $24.70 USD (under 12 lbs)
Standard 2-Day Service: $19.70 USD (under 12 lbs)

When can I expect delivery of my product?

Depending on the chosen shipping method, most products will arrive within 5-7 business days. Bulkier and some specialty items may take up to 10-14 business days to arrive.

How can I track an order?

Most orders are shipped within 2 to 3 business days of receipt of the order. If a delay is expected in shipping a product out promptly, we will inform you to ensure a satisfactory product procurement experience with bio-World.com. What is bioWorld's return policy?

Our Customer Service Department is available during regular business hours should there be a problem with your order. Please throroughly inspect your package upon receipt and notify us immediately of any damages that may have occurred.

Laboratory Supplies Return Policy:
Defective items and incorrect shipments may be returned and replaced at no charge to the customer. In this case, please contact us at save@bio-world.com. Our friendly customer care staff will provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and issue a return label through UPS or FedEx. Please package the item as you received it and indicate the RMA number on the outside of the box. Once the defective or mis-shipped item is received at our facilities, we will promptly ship out the replacement item. If a wrong item is ordered by the customer you may return the item less a 20% restocking fee. No refund or credit will be issued after 60 days from the date of invoice.

Laboratory Chemical/Reagent Return Policy:
Chemicals, biologicals and/or reagents may not be replaced for any reason.

What is bioWorld's return address?

Please email us at save@bio-world.com or call (888) 246-7587 before you return any product to bioWorld. The return address may vary with each product due to separate warehouses and we want to ensure that your package is directed to the proper facility. Do not send any package back without an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number from bio-World.com. Items returned without an RMA number will be charged a 20% restocking fee.

Do I have to pay applicable sales tax?

bio-World.com currently charges sales tax on products shipped within the state of Ohio at the applicable 7.5% tax rate. Institutions with tax exempt status in Ohio may fax proof of exempt status to us at (614) 792-8685. Any tax associated with the order will be removed upon receiving and validating your paperwork. bioWorld does not assess sales tax to any company, institution or research facility outside the state of Ohio.

Product Use Disclaimer

All products, reagents, chemicals and lab services offered at bio-World.com are in vitro and lab research use only. Our products are not to be used for diagnostic, medicinal or therapeutic purposes therefore are not suitable for human consumption. Antibiotics will only be sold only to research, medical or educational institutions. Absolutely no antibiotics will be sold to individuals.

Product Warranty

All products are warranted by bioWorld against defect in materials and workmanship. bioWorld's liability is limited to replacement of defective items. bioWorld will not be liable for any personal injury, property damage or consequential damages of any kind arising out of the use of our items. Shipping Hazardous Materials

The US Department of Transportation and IATA (International Air Transport Association) classify certain materials as hazardous. Packaging and shipment of these products is regulated and all carriers impose Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) fees. Each box containing a hazardous material will be accessed a minimum $25.00 HAZMAT fee for ground shipping and a minimum of $50.00 HAZMAT fee for air shipping.
