Description

A polymer of anhydroglucose and a hydrophilic polysaccharide, dextran is labled with texas red. When labeled and microinjected into the cell, dextran is used to study permiability of the cell, movement of the cell, and the hydrodynamic properties of the cell's cytoplasm.
