Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA), Fraction V - Fine Powder

Bovine Serum Albumin, Fraction V - Fine Powder is a highly purified, lyophilized powder. It is of a finer consistency than normal Fraction V albumin, having a particle size of <300 µm. This makes it ideal for many microbiological applications. BSA is a common ingredient of many vaccines because it is a very stable carrier protein.

BSA Fine Powder is of >98% purity and is at a neutral pH of 7.0. It is tested for a number of chemical impurities, as well as pathogens that could be present in the donor serum. BSA is soluble in distilled water, though it is recommended to add salts to the solution before dissolving the albumin to improve solubility.
