Description

Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA), Crystallized is isolated from the blood of cows. It is extensively tested for pathogens and chemical impurities during the purification process. BSA is commonly used for electron and immunoelectron microscopy. In solution, Bovine Serum Albumin is also useful for blocking vacant binding sites in ELISA assay.

This >99% pure protein is in a crystallized form for easier solubility in aqueous solutions. Due to the nature of the albumin, extensive stirring may be necessary to dissolve the crystals at high concentrations. It is recommended to not exceed 30% weight/volume. The resulting solution may be sterile-filtered as desired. Alternatively, bioWORLD offers pre-sterilized solutions of BSA at 20% and 30%.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
