BES Buffered Saline 2X

BES Buffered Saline is a zwitterionic buffer with a wide range of applications, including DNA/RNA isolation and cell culture. It forms complexes with metals, while resisting both enzymatic and non-enzymatic alterations. BES Buffered Saline 2X is a great choice for transformation and transfection protocols.

This buffer is made using Molecular Biology Grade BES, or N,N-Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)taurine. It is buffered to pH 7.1 with Sodium Phosphate. As a 2X concentration, BES-Buffered Saline should be diluted with distilled water before use. It may be sterile-filtered as desired.
