Description

Ciprfloxacin Hydrochloride, also known as Cipro-HCl, is a fluoroquinoline antibiotic for eliminating mycoplasma and bacteria from animal cell culture, which could otherwise compromise assay results. It works by disabling the bacterial DNA gyrase enzyme.

Microbiology Grade Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride Solution is prepared using >99% pure raw materials and sterilized. Cipro-HCl is light-sensitive, and should not be kept outside of amber-colored bottles or tubes. This 10 mg/mL solution is provided at 1000X concentration, to be diluted to 10 µg/mL before use in cell culture.
