Description

Citrate-buffered saline has a 20X concentration and is composed of 300 mM sodium citrate, 3M sodium chloride, and is at a pH of 7.0. As a conjugate base of a weak acid, citrate can act as a buffering agent or acidity regulator, resisting changes in pH. It is used for nucleic acid hybridization, blot transfer procedures and nucleic acid preparation.
