Description

PIPES (Piperazine-N,N?-bis(2-ethanesulfonic acid) is commonly known as a Good's buffer. PIPES has pKa near the physiological pH which makes it useful in cell culture work. It is non-toxic and provides a very high resolution at a typical pH. PIPES has a wide range of biological applications and is often used as a buffering agent.
