TAE Buffer 10X with Reduced EDTA

TAE Buffer 10X with Reduced EDTA is commonly used for agarose electrophoresis for the separation of nucleic acids like DNA or RNA. This buffer consists of 40mM Tris base, 0.11% acetic acid, and 0.1mM EDTA at the final working concentration. A high concentration of EDTA can interfere with assays that are examining the effects of divalent cations on proteins or cellular functions.
