Tris Buffered Saline (TBS) is high salt used for Western blot washing with a concentration of 10X. It contains 0.5M Tris, 4.5M NaCl and has a pH level of 7.4. Buffer is stored at room temperature. TBS is isotonic and non-toxic, and is used to dilute substances. It is used as a washing buffer for electrodes and to wash microtiter plates for Western blot experiments and screening methods.
