TE Buffer 20X pH 8.0

TE buffer is a commonly used buffer solution in procedures involving DNA or RNA. Tris is a common pH buffer while EDTA inactivates nucleases by chelating cations like Mg²⁺. TE buffer functions to solubilize DNA or RNA while protecting it from degradation. This buffer is used at different pH values and has become the standard buffer for the storage of nucleic acids. The pH 8.0 is usually used for storing DNA. Contains 200mM Tris-HCl and 20mM EDTA.
