Tris Acetate Buffer 10X, Sterile

Tris Acetate Buffer 10X (400 mM Tris acetate) solution, sterile is used as a running buffer in DNA agarose gels and non-denaturing RNA agarose gels. Tris-acetate is an effective buffer for ATP assays for firefly luciferase. When measuring the pH of a solution containing Tris, single junction pH electrodes that contain silver should be avoided.
