Tris-SDS Stripping Buffer, pH 6.8

Tris-SDS Stripping Buffer, pH 6.8 allows for harsher “stripping”, a term used to describe the removal of primary and secondary antibodies form a Western blot membrane. The Western blot is an example of an immunoblot, a blot in which an antibody is the primary molecular probe. SDS and low pH buffers are widely used for stripping antibodies from PVDF immunoblots for reprobing purposes.
