Tris-Tricine

  • Tris-Tricine (TT) Buffer has been developed for both non-denaturing and denaturing electrophoresis of proteins. TT Buffer offers several advantages over more conventionally used protein gel buffers. TT Buffer allows for optimal resolution of low molecular weight proteins and eliminates the glycine front often found in gel utilizing TG-SDS and other such beffers. This improved running buffer allows for resolution of peptides as low as 5kD. TT buffer is also excellent for protein electrophoresis where resolved products will be trasnferred to a nylon membrane. Unlike glycine, tricine will not interfere with membrane protein sequencing.
  • A simple 10-fold dilution with distilled H2O provides a 1X solution, that makes an excellent running buffer for most applications. TT Buffer provides convenience and performance at an economical cost to save you both time and money. A ReadyPack (Catalog #705970) is also available, simply add water to make 1.0 liter of 10X liquid.
