Description

Ampicillin Trihydrate is a beta-lactam antibiotic that is effective on both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. This Penicillin derivative works by inactivating transpeptidases to prevent cell wall synthesis.

For best results, add 20-100 µg/mL of Ultra Pure Ampicillin Trihydrate to your favorite cell culture medium. Ampicillin is often coupled with other antibiotics, such as Vancomycin or Amoxicillin.

Ampicillin Sodium Salt is a popular alternative as it is more soluble in water than the trihydrate form. bioWORLD offers both KLH and BSA conjugated to Ampicillin for ELISA.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
