Description

Vancomycin Hydrochloride is a glycopeptide antibiotic that inhibits peptidoglycan formation in bacterial cells. It most commonly used against Agrobacterium species in plant tissue culture. Vancomycin exhibits increased antibiotic activity when used alongside Cefotaxime or Carbenicillin.

Microbiological Grade Vancomycin Hydrochloride is readily soluble in aqueous solutions. A 100 mg/mL sterile solution is available for direct use in cell culture.
