D-Glucosamine Hydrochloride (HCl) - Sea shell origin. D-Glucosamine is an amino monosaccharide. Used as a standard to quantify and express chitin content as glucosamine equivalents. Also used to stimulate cells with glucose in the presence of glucosamine. Chemical Name is Chemical Name (3R,4R,5S,6R)-3-amino-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-2,4,5-triol;hydrochloride.
