Denaturing Lysis Buffer

The Denaturing Lysis Buffer is used to directly extract proteins from cells. It contains 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4 and 2% SDS to effectively break up membrane structures. The Denaturing Lysis Buffer will be most effective for extraction of nucleic acids, rather than proteins.
