Lysis Buffer for Bacillus

Gram-negative bacteria are less susceptible than gram-positive bacteria to lysoyme and detergents. Enzymatic lysis of gram-negative bacteria requires the outer membrane to be permeabilized to expose the peptidoglycan layer to attack. The Bacillus lysis buffer kit provides the buffer and enzyme additive needed for the enzymatic lysis of gram-negative bacteria. Add 1 vial of enzyme additive to 100 mL of lysis buffer.
