Description

Actinomycin D isolated from Streptomyces is a powerful antibiotic that has actually shown to have anticancer properties. It does so by interfering with RNA polymerase. Actinomycin has been observed intercalating directly into GpC sites. Some have used this antibiotic as a non-fluorescent way to band chromosomes.

Actinomycin D is soluble in both Acetone and DMSO. For best results, add at 1 µg/mL to one of over 700 cell culture media formulations. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for a custom formulation!
