Description

Amphotericin B is an antifungal antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces. It works by interfering with membrane permeability, particularly of yeasts. Ocassionally Amphotericin B treatment can cause issues with mammalian cells because it causes nephrotoxicity. This obstacle is being circumvented with a novel delivery-system using nanoparticles.

Cell Culture Grade Amphotericin B is of more than 99% purity. It is soluble in DMSO, or in aqueous solutions at pH 2 and pH 11. We provide this antibiotic in a convenient 100X Sterile Solution, as well as in a mixture with Penicillin and Streptomycin.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
