Description

For Mycoplasma/Bacterial Elimination from animal cell cultures. The effective concentration of ciproflaxin (Cipro) in most cell culture use is 10ug/ml and a 1000X solution can be prepared.

A DNA gyrase/topoisomerase-targeting antibiotic often used in cell culture.

Mycoplasma contamination is a major problem in cell culture in biomedical and cell/molecular biology research. There is no easy visual confirmation of mycoplasma contamination which can have serious effects on key characteristics and functions of a cell line, thus compromising all results obtained using such cultures. Cipro HCl is the standard antibiotic for rapid and efficient removal of mycoplasma from contaminated cultures. Bio-World offers 99% pure Cipro in a ready-to-use 1000X solution or in powder form for quick elimination of this problem.

Powder: Store below 30ºC in the dark, stable for 2 years.
