Description

Heparin Sodium salt is naturally produced in mast cells of various mammalian tissues. It acts as an anticoagulant by activating antithrombin. This polymer is effective at removing DNA from protein samples in affinity chromatography. Heparin also inhibits DNA synthesis by blocking polymerase.

Heparin Sodium Salt is of >160 U/mg activity and is readily soluble in water. We provide Heparin-coated microplates and a number of Heparin-coated micropipette tips for microbiology applications. Our unique Heparin Separopore agarose beads and columns have a high binding capacity for Antithrombin III and more.
