MES Monohydrate is one of the original Good’s buffers. It is a zwitterionic acid used as a running buffer for resolving very small proteins on bis-tris gels. It is also used as a biological buffer in plant cell cultures. The buffer solution once prepared should be stable at 2-8°C for months.
