Description

Sulfo-SMCC is a protein crosslinker used in protein-protein and protein-antibody conjugation. It contains maleimide and NHS-ester reactive groups to form stable amide bonds.

Maleimide-activated proteins can be produced using Sulfo-SMCC in alkaline conditions. Solubility in aqueous solutions can be improved by slightly increasing temperature. For best results, add Sulfo-SMCC at a concentration 10-50 times higher than the target protein.

bioWORLD's line of Separopore® agarose beads and columns are an ideal choice for protein purification and conjugation.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
