Yeast samples can be cultured in a number of general media formulations. However, specially formulated yeast growth media allows for honing in on specific growth conditions. YPD Medium is ideal for routine yeast growth, while YPG and YPAD are best used for distinguishing specific mutations. Pre-prepared Agar Plates are simple and ready-to-use for immediate cell culture.
