Borate Buffer 0.05M, pH 8.5

Borate Buffer 0.05M, pH 8.5 is a valuable buffer with many biological applications, including electrophoresis. It is great for protein modification because it doesn't contain amines and has an alkaline pH. Borate Buffer is also a very effective reagent in plant tissue culture, where Boron has been observed to improve plant growth.

Borate Buffer 0.05M, pH 8.5 is prepared using raw materials of >99% purity and water that has been triple-distilled and deionized. pH of 8.5 is achieved by balancing Boric Acid with Sodium Tetraborate.
