Laemmli SDS-Sample Buffer 2X, Reducing

Laemmli SDS-Sample Buffer serves as a reducing agent and an electrophoretic dye. It is used to denature proteins and monitor the front of a running gel.

This 2X formulation may be diluted 1:1 in the protein sample before use. The presence of 2-Mercapethanol ensures that the protein will be entirely denatured and the molecular weight can be properly detected.

Bring solution to room temperature and shake/stir well before using. If SDS falls out of solution, gently increase temperature while stirring.
