Nitrocellulose Stripping Buffer 10X

Nitrocellulose stripping buffer (10X) is used for hybridization of probes to nucleic acids. It is ideal for removal of secondary antibody after detection of highly abundant targets. It is also used for nucleic acid and protein related blotting.

This buffer contains 0.5X SSC and 100 mM EDTA at pH 8.0. To strip the membrane, dilute buffer to 1X in water. Warm solution to 50-70°C and perform 2 to 3 changes (15 minutes each) of boiling stripping buffer.
