Description

Potassium acetate is a 3M aqueous solution that has a density of 1.57 g/cm3 and a melting point of 292°C. It has a pH value of 5.0 and is of biotechnology grade. It is an osmotic agent that is prepared by the reaction between acetic acid and potassium hydroxide. It has potential to substitute calcium chloride for osmotic distillation. It can perform surface modification by intercalating with hydroxyl groups on the kaolinite surface. It can act as a catalyst to accelerate the acetylation of wood at a low temperature.

The solution is RNase-free and ready-to-use. Due to the ubiquitous presence of RNases, manufacturing products for use with RNA is especially challenging. BioWORLD's nuclease-free reagents and buffers are specifically designed to prevent the introduction of nucleases. Highly sensitive RNase assays are performed at several different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure the highest quality. These reagents are rigorously tested for contaminating nonspecific endonuclease, exonuclease, and RNase activity.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
