TB Buffer 10X, pH 7.0, Liquid Concentrate

Product Description
TB (Tris-Borate) has a pH of 7.0 and a liquid concentration of 5X. 1L of concentrate makes 5L of 1X buffer. TB contains a mixture of Tris and Borate and no EDTA. Tris solutions are effective buffers for slightly basic conditions. Borate, a derivative of boric acid, is a weak proton donor but a Lewis acid that can accept an electron pair. TB is most commonly used for nucleic acid electrophoresis.
