Tricine-SDS Sample Buffer 2X, Reducing

Product Description
Tricine-SDS is a sample buffer under reducing conditions for protein analysis. It has a concentration of 2X and contains 900 mM Tris-HCl with a pH of 8.45, 8% SDS, 20% glycerol, 0.01% Coomassie blue, 0.01% phenol red, and 4% β-mercaptoethanol.

The tricine system requires SDS in sample and running buffers for best results. Tricine-SDS PAGE is commonly used to separate proteins that range in molecular weight between 1 – 100 kDa but is preferred for the resolution of proteins smaller than 30 kDa.

Bring solution to room temperature and shake/stir well before using. If SDS falls out of solution, gently increase temperature while stirring.
