Tris Buffer 100mM with Tween 80, pH 8.2, Sterile is widely used in protein electrophoresis, nucleic acid agarose electrophoresis, and western blotting. Tris, also known as tromethamine, is a common component in buffers and is highly soluble. Added Tween 80 prevents non-specific binding to tissue or cell pellets.
