Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) buffer has a 1.0M concentration and a pH of 8.5. Sodium bicarbonate is a salt composed of sodium ions and bicarbonate ions. It has a wide variety of uses such as in cooking it is known as baking soda. It can be used for pest control, fungicide, and can also be used to remove calcium and manganese making hard water soft.
