Description

ABTS Diammonium Salt, or 2,2'-Azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid. It is commonly used in ELISA procedures to determine the bonding between molecules. ABTS is also used as a substrate to detect the amount of Hydrogen Peroxide in a sample via spectrophotometry.

When used as a peroxidase substrate, ABTS diammonium salt produces a green end product that can be read at 405 nm. It can be used to detect antioxidant activity when oxidized with Potassium persulfate.

bioWORLD's products are supplied for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as a drug, agricultural or pesticidal product, food additive or as a household chemical.
