Description

ACES Buffer (N-(2-Acetamido)-2-aminoethanesulfonic acid) is a biological buffer which is commonly known as a Good's buffer. ACES is a good addition in the development of agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, serving primarily as a buffer. ACES is very soluble in water and delivers high clarity in solutions. ACES also works well as a buffer in the isoelectric focusing of proteins. ACES binds Cu2+, but not significantly Mg2+, Ca2+, or Mn2+. This particular product was prepared in DI water and filtered through 0.22 µ filter.
