CHAPS

CHAPS is a zwitterionic detergent derived from bile salts also known as 3-[(3-Cholamidopropyl)dimethylammonio]-1-propanesulfonate hydrate. Due to its non-denaturing quality, this Ultra Pure Grade compound is ideal for solubilizing membrane proteins.

For direct use in microbiology applications, bioWORLD carries ultra pure CHAPS in a sterile 10% solution and a Lysis Buffer for DNA extraction.
