DMSO, Molecular Biology Grade

DMSO has a wide range of uses in microbiology. It is an effective solvent for organic and inorganic chemicals. BioMax Cell Culture Grade DMSO has been refined and 0.22µ sterile-filtered for use in cell culture. In cell freezing media, DMSO prevents the formation of ice crystals that would otherwise damage the sample.

For cell freezing media, it is recommended to add DMSO at about 10% concentration. This product can be directly added to pre-sterilized media.
