Description

 

Affinity purified Hippeastrum hybrid Lectin (HHL) from Amaryllis bulbs, consists of four identical subunits. It binds only to (α-1,3) and (α-1,6) linked mannosyl units of α-mannose residues. HHL reacts not only with terminal but also with internal α-D-mannosyl residues. This lectin appears to possess extended binding sites complementary to at least three 1,6-linked α-mannosyl. HHL also binds to some yeast galactomannans. 

Recommended Usage: Recommended dilutions of 0.5 – 10 μg/ml in 1XPBS pH 7.4. Rabbit erythrocytes will agglutinate by 1-20 μg of HHL Lectin.

 

Storage Instruction: To prevent degradation and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, aliquot your product into small, single-use volumes and store them at -20°C
