Tulip sp. Lectin (TL) - Semi-Pure

Semi-Pure Tulip sp. Lectin (TL) lectin contains two different lectins: TL I and TL II. TL I is a tetrameric protein composed of four identical subunits which are not held together by disulfide bonds. It has a molecular weight of 112 kDa. TL I is not blood group specific, but it does agglutinate type O erythrocytes more readily than either A or B cells. It has a carbohydrate specificity of N-acetylgalactosamine, galactose and fucose, and elutes with fetuin or thyroglobulin. TL II is also a tetrameric protein with a molecular weight of 67 kDa. It has a carbohydrate specificity for complex mannans and fucose. 

Storage Instruction: To prevent degradation and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, aliquot your product into small, single-use volumes and store them at -20°C
