Bold's Basal Medium (BBM)

Bold's Basal Medium (BBM) is a concentrated solution for the culture of freshwater algae. It contains trace metals to increase chlorophyll production and encourage growth.

Dissolve 705 mg of Bold's Basal Mediium in 1 L of distilled water. Before autoclaving, pH to 6.6.

Vitamins such as Thiamine, Vitamin B12, and Biotin may be added as desired, but are not necessary for growth.
