Yeast Extract

Yeast Extract is a important ingredient in many microbiological media formluations. It has a high vitamin content, including B-complexes and amino acids, to encourage growth.

For best results, add Yeast Extract up to 5 g/L to culture media. A 10% sterile solution is conveniently available for purchase for direct use in cell culture. Our high quality Yeast Extract is a component of many growth media formulations, including YT Agar and Yeast Mannitol Agar.
