Description

Human Urinary Trypsin Inhibitor (UTI)

Source: Human Urine.

Background: Urinary Trypsin Inhibitor (UTI, Ulinastatin) is a kind of glucoprotein derived from human urine. As a proteinase inhibitor, Ulinastatin inhibits the activity of trypsin, chymotrypsin, lactate, lipase, hyaluronidase and other pancreatic enzymes. UTI is an effective for acute pancreatitis, chronic recurrent pancreatitis and hemorrhagic, traumatic and endotoxic shocks. Urinastatin is has strong inhibition effect to various protease, sugar and fat hydrolase. .

Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Formulation: UTI was lyophilized after extensive dialysis, (1 mg/mL) solution containing no additives.

Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized UTI in sterile 18Ω-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability: Store the lyophilized UTI between 2-8C, do not freeze.

Upon reconstitution UTI should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Purity: Greater than 98.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Anion-exchange FPLC. (c) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.

Dimers and aggregates: Less than 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.

Biological Activity:  UTI measured biological activity of 2350 IU/mg.

Endotoxin: Less than 0.1 ng/ g (IEU/ g) of Ulinastatin.

Protein content: Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: 1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm. 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of UTI as a Reference Standard.

Usage: BioWORLD's products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals.
