BG-11 Agar Plates

BG-11 Agar (sometimes known as Blue-Green Agar) Plates are an effective choice for the growth and propagation of cyanobacteria. They contain all of the macronutrients, micronutrients, and trace metals necessary for optimum growth of several different algae species.

This agar is composed of only Microbiology Grade raw materials. Our made-to-order BG-11 Agar Plates are also available with a number of antibiotics. Bold's Basal Medium (BBM) is another popular choice for algae culture.
