Annexin Binding Buffer 10X, pH 7.4

Buffer for use with annexin V reagents including annexin V-FITC, annexin V-Cy3, annexin V-Biotin, and unlabeled annexin V. During apoptosis, phsphatidylserine (PS) is translocated from the cytoplasmic face of the plasma membrane to the cell surface. Annexin V has a strong, Ca²⁺ Dependent affinity for PS and therefore serves as a probe for detecting apoptosis. bioWORLD's 10X conc. to be diluted to use for annexin V binding assay to detect PS exposure during apoptosis.
