Description

The BCA Protein Assay, or Bicinchoninic Acid Assay, is used for protein quantification. Reagent A is the first step in measuring the production in whole-cell lysates and affinity-column fractions. BCA Protein Assay Reagent A provides a greater protein-to-protein uniformity because it is not as affected by compositional differences.

This alkaline reagent is manufactured using only Biotechnology Grade raw materials. In order to perform the assay, Reagent A should be mixed at a ratio of 50:1 with BCA Protein Assay Reagent B. Samples are then incubated in the working solution for 30 minutes at 37°C or 2 hours at ambient temperature.

For a simple step-by-step procedure, purchase bioWORLD's complete BCA Protein Assay with BSA Standards. We carry all of the necessary reagents for protein purification and electrophoresis.
