Description

Recombinant CytomegaloVirus phosphoprotein-28 (pp28/UL99)

Source: E.Coli

Background: The human cytomegalovirus UL99-encoded pp28 is a myristylated phosphoprotein that is a constituent of the virion. The pp28 protein is positioned within the tegument of the virus particle, a protein structure that resides between the capsid and envelope. In the infected cell, pp28 is found in a cytoplasmic compartment derived from the Golgi apparatus, where the virus buds into vesicles to acquire its final membrane.

Description: The E. Coli derived recombinant protein contains the CMV Pp28 (UL99) immunodominant regions, 130-160 amino acids.

Purification method: Purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Purity: Recombinant CMV-pp28 is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining).

Formulation: 25 mM Tris-Hcl pH 7.2, 1 mM EDTA and 50% glycerol.

Storage: Recombinant CMV-pp28 is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -20C.
