Recombinant Hepatitis B Surface Antigen adr subtype, Saccharomyces

Background: HBsAg is the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus (HBV). The capsid of a virus has different surface proteins from the rest of the virus. THe antigen is a protein that binds specifically on one of these surface proteins. It is commonly referred to a s the Australian Antigen. recombinant HBsAg adr full length monomeric protein contains 227 amino acids of the S-gene a moleuclar weight of 24 kDa. Small amounts of dimer and trimer forms also exist int he solution.

Physical appearance: Sterile Filtered colourless liquid formulation

Formulation: 10 mM phosphate, 145 mM sodium chloride and 0.1 % NaN3 as preservative.

Stability: 4°C

Purity: Greater than 98.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Applications: 1. Immunochromatography (capture and conjugate). 2. Immunogen for monoclonal antibody production.
