Description: E.coli derived recombinant. The protein contains the C-terminal immunodominant regions from ORF65 (140-170 a.a.) and N-terminal regions from ORF8 (32-62 a.a.).

Formulation: 1mg/ml in 50mM Tris-HCl, 60mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione and 50% glycerol.

Purification Method: Purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Purity: Protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining).

Storage: Protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -200C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Stability: Five years frozen. One month in solution at room temperature.

Specificity: Immunoreactive with sera of HSV-8 infected individuals.

Applications: Antigen in ELISA and Western blots, excellent antigen for detection of HSV with minimal specificity problems.
