Background:

Description: AFP is normally synthesized in the liver, intestinal tract, and yolk sac of the fetus. Antibody to AFP has been shown to be useful in detecting hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) and germ cell neoplasms, especially yolk sac tumors.

Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered clear solution.

Formulation: 100 l purified human Alpha Fetoprotein protein at 0.1mg/ml in 50mM Tris-Acetate, pH7.5, 1mM EDTA, 20% Glycerol without BSA and Sodium Azide.

Stability: Store vial at -200C to -800C. When stored at the recommended temperature, this protein is stable for 12 months. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Applications: ELISA Inhibition Assays Western Blotting

Charactweization: On SDS-PAGE commassie blue stained gel, the purified protein shows a band at 70kDa.

Activity: Not known.
